Resin Trap

HD Well Screen offers a custom-designed profile wire resin trap, which is also called a media trap. The resin trap screen is normally closed bottom and with a flange head for easy installation to the equipment. The

resin trap filter has continuous slots and a smooth surface. Typically, the screen slot openings are 250 microns (0.25 mm) using wedge wire, materials of construction would be type 304 or 316 stainless steel for the screen element. It could be made for flow-in-to-out (FITO) or flow-out-to-in (FOTI) filtration. The resin trap strainer is primarily used as a safety device to eliminate the migration of your expensive media in the event of a valve failure and to also protect against damage to downstream equipment. Wedge wire screen resin traps are used in service outlets and backwash pipelines for ion exchange devices, high purity water systems, and activated carbon and media filters.
