Perforated pipe or predrilled liner is manufactured with API casing by multi-spindle drill presses. It is often used as a base pipe for wire wrapped screens, pre-packed wire wrapped screens & metal mesh screens. Perforated pipe is deburred internally and externally, and every hole is visually inspected to make sure all burrs are cleaned up according to API standards. The advantage of the perforated liner is the low cost, as well insurance providing borehole stability and preventing the well to collapse during production.
Upon request, we can drill standard or customized holes size in any number and any pattern. Meanwhile, the number and size of the hole mean the open area which will influence production and sand filtration.
In order to meet more clients' needs, we add a new production line to supply the spiral welding perforated pipe, which is helically formed and automatically welded of continuous sheets of perforated metal based on high precision and high quality of welding. The spiral welded perforated tube is approximately 15% stronger than the longitudinally welded tube, but with lower prices.
Tips
How to work out the open area of the perforated liner?
N = 12*D*C/ 25*D*D
N refers to the number of holes per foot.
D refers to the outside diameter of the liner in inches.
C refers to the required open area (percent of surface area).
d refers to the diameter of a hole in inches.
